Modern Metric delivers a sea-change in brokers' ability to onboard and renew personal lines accounts. Brokers have trouble efficiently gathering risk data from multiple sources (e.g., 3rd party data, trusted advisors), managing the carrier marketing process, and creating elegant client proposals. Currently, brokers rely on a bevy of tools to handle these tasks. Data collection is usually done with Word or Excel templates. Carrier marketing involves emailing Word/Excel files to marketing teams, and proposals are created using PowerPoint or Word templates, requiring tremendous effort.
Modern Metric’s Discover software addresses these inefficiencies with three integrated tools:
- "Discovery" streamlines data collection, allowing brokers to collaborate with clients and advisors in real time to populate hundreds of data points. AI-based tools import dec pages, carrier quotes, and VAC schedules, while integrations with Hazard Hub and Canopy Connect further simplify the process.
- "Quoting" provides workflow management for carrier marketing. Agents specify coverage and share it securely with marketing teams. Integrations (e.g., Cincinnati Financial’s API) enable automated quoting, and an AI-based underwriting rules engine is being developed.
- "Proposal" automates professional proposal creation. Its flexible builder ensures polished, customized proposals that are easy to produce. Clients can e-sign proposals directly in the app, including disclosures and requirements, reducing E&O risks and boosting client satisfaction. Most significantly, Modern Metric has taken AI from an occasionally-used curiosity within Personal Lines to an integrated and integral part of the process that Personal Lines staff use in their daily work.
