Catalyit Team Review

Helping agencies turn insurance documents into faster, more informed coverage and placement decisions
Updated: August 2026

What we like:

  • Built around recognizable insurance workflows: Quote comparisons, policy reviews, coverage-gap analysis, contract requirements, proposals, appetite search, ACORD forms, and loss-run analysis address work commercial teams already perform.
  • Document analysis can remove significant manual comparison: Producers and account managers can analyze multiple quotes, policies, applications, and other insurance documents without manually moving between PDFs and spreadsheets.
  • Market Search connects risk information with carrier appetite: Teams can search carrier appetite in plain language while maintaining their own appetite guides, submission materials, underwriter contacts, and market knowledge.
  • The platform supports both experienced and developing employees: Outmarket can assist with complex insurance research while giving newer employees a way to investigate coverage forms, classifications, carrier appetite, and other insurance questions with source citations.
  • Workflows are increasingly connected: Information can move from documents into comparisons, proposals, ACORD forms, loss-run analysis, research, and shared team resources instead of each activity beginning from scratch.

Things to consider:

  • Human review remains important. Coverage comparisons, policy analysis, contract requirements, and appetite recommendations can affect important insurance decisions. Employees should verify material findings rather than treating generated analysis as final authority.
  • Agencies should begin with specific workflows. Outmarket covers a broad range of use cases, so trying to deploy everything at once may make it harder to determine where the platform actually creates value.
  • Integration depth should be evaluated against your environment. Agencies should confirm how Outmarket works with their AMS and where employees will still need to export, upload, review, or document information.
  • The platform becomes more valuable with disciplined adoption. Agencies should decide which workflows employees are expected to use, how outputs are reviewed, and where resulting information belongs in the agency's system of record.

Summary

Commercial insurance teams spend a surprising amount of time reading and comparing documents.

A producer receives several carrier quotes and needs to understand the differences. An account manager reviews a policy against the prior term. A client sends a contract with insurance requirements. A marketer searches appetite guides to determine where a risk belongs. Someone else converts application information into ACORD forms or turns quote details into a proposal.

Outmarket is designed to reduce the manual work surrounding those activities. It can analyze insurance documents, compare information, identify potential gaps or discrepancies, search carrier appetite, generate proposals and forms, and assist with insurance research.

Why should agencies care? Much of this work requires insurance knowledge, but it also involves repetitive reading, extraction, comparison, and formatting. If technology can handle more of that preparation reliably, experienced employees can spend more time applying judgment rather than assembling information.

What stood out during our review is the breadth of workflows that can begin with information the agency already has. Outmarket isn't simply providing a general AI chat window. It is increasingly creating structured insurance workflows around the documents and decisions commercial teams work with every day.

Key Features:

  • Quote comparison and analysis
  • Policy review and coverage-gap analysis
  • Proposal generation
  • Carrier appetite and market search
  • Contract and lease requirement review
  • ACORD form preparation
  • Loss-run extraction and analysis
  • Insurance research and team knowledge tools

Best fit for:

  • Commercial agencies where producers and account teams spend significant time comparing quotes and policies
  • Agencies wanting to make carrier appetite knowledge easier to search and share across the organization
  • Teams producing significant volumes of commercial proposals, ACORD forms, contract reviews, or loss-run analysis
  • Growing agencies trying to increase commercial capacity without increasing administrative work at the same rate
  • Agencies wanting to give newer employees access to more structured insurance research while maintaining experienced employee oversight

May not be ideal for:

  • Agencies with limited commercial-lines activity or very low document-processing volume
  • Organizations looking for automation that operates entirely without employee review
  • Agencies unwilling to standardize how employees use, verify, and document AI-assisted work
  • Teams whose highest-priority workflows require AMS connectivity that isn't currently available at the depth they need

Deeper Dive

The Problem Being Solved: Commercial insurance involves a lot of skilled employees doing relatively unskilled document work before they can apply their expertise.

Consider a quote comparison.

Someone needs to open each carrier proposal, find premiums, limits, deductibles, exclusions, endorsements, and other important terms, then organize the information so a producer can evaluate and explain the differences.

The important work is deciding what those differences mean for the client.

The repetitive work is finding and organizing them.

Outmarket is designed to handle more of that repetitive layer.

The same concept applies across other workflows. Policies can be checked for potential gaps. Contracts can be compared with existing insurance. Applications and quotes can be compared for inconsistencies. Loss runs can be converted from carrier documents into structured claims information. ACORD forms can be populated from existing documents.

That allows employees to begin closer to the point where insurance judgment is actually needed.

Why It Matters to Agencies: Capacity in commercial insurance is closely tied to expertise.

Experienced producers, account executives, and account managers are expensive resources. When those employees spend hours manually comparing documents or researching routine information, the agency is using specialized talent for work that may increasingly be automated.

Outmarket creates an opportunity to shift that balance.

We see quote comparison as an easy example. Faster comparison can help producers respond more quickly while still giving them a structured view of meaningful coverage differences.

Market Search addresses another common constraint: carrier knowledge. Agencies can centralize their own appetite guides and market information while also searching Outmarket's carrier database. A producer can describe a risk and identify markets whose stated appetite appears relevant rather than relying entirely on memory or asking the same internal expert repeatedly.

That doesn't replace experienced marketers. It makes their accumulated knowledge easier for the rest of the organization to access and use.

The business case is therefore less about “using AI” and more about expanding how much insurance work an experienced team can review and act on.

What Stood Out to Us: What stood out during our review is how Outmarket is developing workflows around several different stages of commercial insurance work.

Before submission, teams can research appetite, prepare ACORD forms, analyze loss information, and review applications.

During placement, they can compare carrier quotes and evaluate coverage differences.

When presenting the account, they can create client-facing proposals.

During servicing and renewal, policies can be reviewed for coverage gaps, contracts can be checked against insurance requirements, and existing coverage can be analyzed for potential opportunities.

Outmarket's insurance assistant adds another layer by allowing employees to research coverage forms, endorsements, classifications, regulations, and appetite with citations to supporting sources.

We also like the ability to share workflows, proposals, documents, dashboards, and research within agency teams. If the platform becomes part of the agency's operating process, shared knowledge and permissions become more important than individual employees having separate AI conversations.

We would still keep AI out of the center of the buying decision. The technology matters, but the agency outcome matters more.

For us, that's Outmarket's differentiation: it applies a common intelligence layer across many of the documents and decisions commercial insurance teams already work through manually.

Final Thoughts

We came away seeing Outmarket as more useful when viewed as a collection of insurance workflows rather than simply as an AI platform. Quote comparison, policy analysis, appetite search, contract checking, ACORD preparation, proposals, and loss-run analysis are all familiar activities where employees spend significant time finding, organizing, and comparing information.

What interests us most is the potential to move experienced employees closer to the judgment portion of their jobs. Technology can extract a limit, identify a difference between quotes, organize loss data, or locate an appetite guide. The producer or account manager still needs to decide what that information means for the client.

For an agency principal or commercial-lines leader, Outmarket is worth further evaluation if document-heavy work is consuming meaningful producer and account-management capacity. We would select three workflows—quote comparison is a good starting point—and test Outmarket using actual accounts your team already understands. Compare the output for accuracy, employee time, important items identified or missed, and the amount of human review still required. If the platform consistently reduces preparation time while preserving the quality of your team's insurance decisions, that's where we see the strongest business case.
