Semsee is an easy-to-use, cloud-based platform for quoting small commercial. It helps determine carrier appetite and then combines carrier questions into a single smart form eliminating the need for agents to re-key data into each carrier portal. The solution also instantly creates client records in the carrier portals for the agents so they can review, edit and bind coverage. For carriers, we help bring products to agents at the point of sale, so they can provide the right coverage at the right premium. Agents can see and process new business in a single platform, from lead to quote. At the same time, we give carriers the information they need to write new policies.

How much does your service cost? Please break this down between initial setup and training and monthly and/or annual maintenance fees.
Agents pay $1,500 annual for access to the quoting platform; there are no limits on the number of seats or submissions and no additional charges for setup and training. We do offer special pricing for enterprise clients and other services that varies based on the specific circumstances.

Is there any other information you would like potential customers to know?
Semsee is designed to make the small commercial quoting process faster, easier and more efficient. We focus on what happens at point-of-sale. We’re using data to help agents identify all possible markets. We’re also collaborating with carriers and MGAs to bring more information up front so the agent can better advise business owners on the best insurance options, including how different policies compare, and what’s covered in easy-to-understand terms.  We also work with our carrier partners, utilizing data to help them adjust their offerings to fit market needs and find the kind of businesses they want to write. We’ve discovered a real opportunity for dynamic two-way information-sharing which aids carriers and MGAs, agency networks, and other large agent organizations in streamlining their processes and optimizing their relationships with one another.

Through Semsee, agents can quote small commercial risks in all 50 states depending on individual carrier availability. Agents can quote Commercial Auto risks in CT, NY, NJ, CA, NC, PA, VA, and TX.

Does your system pre-fill data from outside databases? If yes, what data is available?

Semsee integrates with Google Maps to pull in business contact information from Google listings, and can also integrate with an agency’s management system or CRM to pull in client data.

Can your system go directly to ACORD forms and prefill data?
Yes. Note: Agency can upload and download ACORD Forms from applications they’ve downloaded with Semsee.

Does your system have the capability of importing schedules (vehicles, location) to prefill fields? Is there a maximum number?
Not currently, but the ability to import ACORD forms to prefill the Semsee form is coming soon.

Are class codes built in?
Yes. Our Class Codes feature eliminates the need for agents to search for carrier specific class codes. They will simply put in the NAICS code and Semsee suggests matching carrier specific codes.

Are quotes bindable at the time of quote being generated?
Yes. Note: They are at the mercy of carriers, connected through an API, so as long as the carriers let the quote bind.

Can the agent email a proposal from within the system to their client?
Agents are able to generate and download BOP coverage comparisons that highlight different coverages offered by the carriers they have quoted. The comparison highlights coverage and premiums side-by-side in a PDF that can be emailed to the client or a spreadsheet that can be integrated into a proposal template.

Do you provide a coverage comparison between companies?
Yes, our coverage review feature enables agents to evaluate multiple quotes with at-a-glance coverage comparisons.

Do you allow real time consumer facing quoting?
Semsee has a direct-to-consumer widget that allows insureds to input data and receive quotes or indications. It is used by several of our carrier partners as well as TrustedChoice.com.

Do you offer a customer facing portal?
Our direct-to-consumer widget that allows insureds to input data and receive quotes or indications is in use now by partners and we are working on extending this capability to agents who want to add it to their own website.

Do you offer a single application?
Yes, agents submit one application to satisfy multiple carriers. Our proprietary algorithm also de-duplicates redundant questions. 

Do you offer insurance company submission management?
Semsee helps agents submit risks for quotes to their carriers more efficiently. Once the agent has selected a quote, any additional action required to bind takes place in the individual carrier portal.

Do you offer application bundling?
Using Semsee, agents can fill out a single online application to satisfy the informational requirements for multiple carriers and multiple lines of business in the same dynamic form.

Integrations available:
Semsee is currently integrated with Hawksoft and SIS/Zywave, and is in the process of integrating with NowCerts. Any software can integrate with Semsee using our open API.
