All insurance (trust) accounting, including commissions and end-of-day reports (payments), is provided within the system. General Ledger accounting is done through HawkSoft’s integration with QuickBooks.

Final Thoughts:
HawkSoft is a great system for most any size agency. Most of their users are small to mid-size. It provides a simple, easy-to-use interface along with exceptional agency intelligence reporting. Customization of Hot Buttons allows users to reduce the number of keystrokes for daily tasks. Basic insurance accounting is available. For general ledger accounting, you will need to use the QuickBooks integration. They have a simple licensing agreement that is not term-based, but rather month-to-month, and do not charge for data extraction or early termination fees. If your agency is looking for a privately-owned vendor focusing on customer service, HawkSoft would be a great fit.

I bought my agencies and HawkSoft was already implemented. I found it easy, but we were not utilizing all the features. When I went to add other locations, I wanted to move to the cloud platform (away from the desktop version) and it began to get pricey for a small agency. It also was pretty pricey to set up the new agency's as the charges for extracting data and uploading were pretty substantial. But to use the system, very easy and no issues at all.
I did a lot of research and demos trying to find an AMS that would be beneficial when beginning the agency from scratch and that would grow with us without having to change to another platform. Hawksoft exceeded all expectations and there's still so much more that we can add to our package as we grow. It is on the high side as far as the price but I feel that it is well worth the investment.
