What we like:

- Active User Groups (by agency size/location) available as a resource to facilitate open discussion, product enhancement suggestions, and technical questions
Things to consider:
- It is a complex AMS and the learning curve can be steep based on agency workflow management and may require additional time to prepare for go-live.
- Sales pipeline management, benefits management, and accounting may not be robust enough for some agencies and may require additional products to improve the experience.
- There is currently no MFA solution for agencies looking to implement this security measure.

Summary:
Applied Epic is an Agency Management System designed to assist an agency with customer activity and documentation management. Epic has capabilities to service P&C, Benefits, Sales, and Accounting, and is made to accommodate the day-to-day business needs of agencies of all sizes. Applied Epic is designed using the ACORD standard forms for applications and servicing P&C policies. It also allows for the creation of custom forms for non-standard and benefits policies. With the use of activities and tasks, work can be tracked for customer follow-up and performance reporting.
Integrations & Key Features:
Epic has fully integrated accounting functionality supporting premium and commission download as well as invoicing for payables, receivables, and income entries to the general ledger. Epic’s functionality is further enhanced with features like IVANS integration for policy download (including policy information and documents) and Real-Time™ access to carriers. Applied also offers options for template creation and customization for agencies who wish to tailor the experience to best suit their workflows and processes. With Applied Epic, agencies can choose from a variety of additional products that complement and enhance the core capabilities of the AMS like email, e-signature, digital applications, payment, and VOIP. Many of these systems are within the Applied suite of products (e.g. Indio, Applied Marketing Automation, Applied Benefits Designer), but there are also a variety of additional options from independent vendors like Microsoft 365, Salesforce, ePayPolicy, and Right Signature. Integration capabilities will vary by product. Integrations may incur additional fees, contracts, and technical resources to connect.
Onboarding & Support:
Agencies can expect a 3-4 month onboarding process, which includes time for staff training and data review prior to final conversion. Agency staff will have ongoing access to Applied University to continue building expertise and expand on their skills in the system.

Applied is moving in the right direction with the Epic product. We are anxious for them to move to an open API allowing some other products we use to integrate.
