Summary: Created by independent agents, HawkSoft is a leading insurance agency management system for agencies looking to grow, retain, and measure their book of business. With an easy-to-use interface, HawkSoft provides effective workflows for personal and commercial lines of business. Users can customize some tasks using Hot Buttons, which assists in reducing the number of steps in the workflow. Users can easily perform daily tasks such as endorsements, notes, document storage, suspense, ACORD forms, and track sales activities using the Sales Pipeline. HawkSoft’s cloud platform combines the powerful efficiency of a desktop app with the convenience of cloud-based data that can be accessed from anywhere. HawkSoft currently offers two implementation options: online and local in-office installation. A new, updated browser-based version is in the process of rolling out to new and existing customers.

Training and Setup: Most onboarding and training can be completed within 30 to 45 days. HawkSoft offers training guides, training videos, webinar sessions, and live online meetings.
Personal Lines Rater: Personal Lines Rating integration is provided for most personal lines raters, along with carrier integration using HawkLink. This helps agencies obtain quick and accurate quotes for their clients. With the addition of the HawkSoft API, other leading insurtech products can integrate their solutions, providing a robust technology suite. Reporting: Some of the key functionality of HawkSoft resides in the ability to provide reporting on key performance indicators using their Agency Intelligence Reporting. Agency Intelligence provides staff and owners insight into the key data needed to manage the agency and help improve performance. When it comes to managing production, the Sales Pipeline provides an in-depth overview of the sales process.
Accounting: All insurance (trust) accounting, including commissions and end-of-day reports (payments), is provided within the system. General Ledger accounting is done through HawkSoft’s integration with QuickBooks.

Integrations with Third-Party Programs: HawkSoft is one of the leading systems for providing access to outside vendors that want to connect to their management system. They have a long list of connections in place and are very open to almost anyone who wants to integrate. This is a real plus for an agency.
Data Ownership: HawkSoft’s Agreement Terms & Conditions states that “Client Data remains the sole ownership of the Customer.” Agencies can download their data at any time at no cost.
Final Thoughts: HawkSoft is a great system that can scale to any size agency. It provides a simple, easy-to-use interface along with exceptional agency intelligence reporting. Customization of Hot Buttons allows users to reduce the number of keystrokes for daily tasks. Basic insurance accounting is available. For general ledger accounting, you will need to use the QuickBooks integration. They have a simple licensing agreement that is not term-based, but rather month-to-month, and do not charge for data extraction or early termination fees. If your agency is looking for a privately-owned vendor focusing on customer service, HawkSoft would be a great fit.
