What's the Difference?
Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity companies are responsible for protecting systems, networks, devices, and data from cyber threats. It involves implementing technologies, processes, and controls designed to safeguard information and critical infrastructure from malicious activities. The goal of cybersecurity is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
Managed Service Provider (MSP)
A Managed Service Provider (MSP) is a company that provides outsourced IT services to organizations on a proactive basis. MSPs take responsibility for the management, maintenance, and support of an organization's technology infrastructure, which can include networks, servers, computers, security systems, and other IT-related operations.

Technicians that maintain your network should have certifications.
An MSP level of IT company is preferred.

“You have a choice to make to provide all the protection needed: Choose a Managed Services Provider/IT company that can provide both IT/network support and cyber protection, or choose an MSP company to take care your technical needs and a separate company for cyber protection that specializes in that area.
Typically, a company that does both IT and Cyber will be strong on the network and device side while offering a lighter version of cyber protection. A company that exclusively offers cyber protection will go more in-depth with their protection and better understand the compliance requirements of your state.
We prefer the second option – choose separate providers that specialize in their specific area of expertise.“
